Remain capable of acting in an emergency
With the “Emergency print” and “SymmetriX” backup systems in RECOM-GRIPS, you can secure all relevant data from electronic nursing and treatment documentation in the event of a system failure due to Internet, network, or server failure.
Emergency print
The so-called emergency print offers you the option of local data backup, which you can still access in the event of a failure. The feature saves predefined excerpts from the digital patient record as cumulative PDF files at specified intervals, thereby ensuring patient care even in the event of prolonged outages.
Defined data storage can include vital signs or medication per record, for example. In exceptional situations, documentation can be temporarily continued on the printouts and the most important information about the patient is available.
SymmetriX
Another option is to use a mobile device (e.g. a mobile ward round trolley that is online) on which emergency backups are stored. As long as the mobile device is connected to the network, selected data in the patient records is permanently synchronized. This means that the actual status of all the data you require is available locally. You can also define exactly how much data you want to transfer to the mobile device before use to avoid unnecessary data transfer of large amounts of data.
Changes, edits and newly created documentation during a brief outage are temporarily stored on the mobile device and automatically synchronized back to the GRIPS main database as soon as the connection is restored. Of course, all data on the mobile device is encrypted. SymmetriX is advisable for bridging shorter connection failures to the server.
